Mammatus

Mammatus is a meteorological term referring to the pattern of “pouches” that form at the base of a cloud. The term “mammatus” comes from mamma, due to its association with the shape of breasts.
Mammatus clouds form when cold air descends, resulting in these round and bubbly clouds, in contrast to most clouds which form in rising air.
